Even though I have not been updating this blog, and instead directing fans to my facebook page at fb.me/Drinkards, I figured everyone should know.
Drinkards is Updated! (And if you've already bought it you can get the update now for FREE!)
Yes your eyes don't lie - an updated version of this Xbox drinking classic is now available on the Indie Games section of the Marketplace. The changes are small, but powerful.
Let's discuss! First, you got cards - new ****ing cards! Second, since there are now SO many cards, you can enable and disable cards! I'll also mention that we fixed a bug where pausing during the Sobriety Test would break the Not-So-Paused Menu, but that's boring. New game type: back to awesome stuff, No-Score Mode lets everyone play without the hassle of keeping turn order, and making yourself look bad when you do the Sobriety Test much better than everyone else. Last, and kind of least, we bring you a new song (but for everyone who loves the old song, song selection option - whoa!), because some people out there have said that the old song was so good, they couldn't focus on the game play (what they actually said was funnier - watch to find out).
Look at the size of that previous paragraph! This new update must be good, right? If you're still reading, might I remind you again to become a fan of our facebook page? At this point you're just bored anyway, and it takes a second.
Now if you're really bored, I hear the cool thing for us developers to do is ask our fans to rate our game 5-stars on the Marketplace. I'll also mention that you can create an xbox.com account for free, go to the Drinkards Marketplace page and do that right now, in the browser. So please, help us be the highest-rating drinking game on xbox! But don't go around rating other things 1-starred, or Drinkards will get lots of bad press and attention and might become popular as... wait a second...
Drinkards
Drinkards is the best new drinking game on Xbox 360. Perfect for parties it supports up to 30 players sharing just 1 controller.

On Oct. 26 2009, Drinkards hit the drinking-game scene with a bang. 11 months later, I'd like to thank everyone who helped this happen - you know who you are if you know who I am. I'm hoping to have a Drinkards birthday blowout for this day, and you're invited! More details hopefully to follow, for now keep on drinkin'

Drinkards back in Peer Review
Drinkards is back in Review! With the last minor glitches and technicalities taken care of, I took the week to polish the presentation a bit more. Look for a better tutorial menu, and some hard-to-find gameplay tweaks. I feel like this might be the one that gets released (finally!!).
In other news, the first Drinkards trailer has been released to youtube!

There was once a trailer here, but since it is now at the top of the blog's main page I decided to remove this copy. Enjoy!

Card Competition #1
So here's the scoop - Drinkards' 100+ cards are fun, right? But I know what you're thinking - "I have the best idea for a card!!!"
Well now you can share that idea with the world, and possibly see it end up in Drinkards. Anyone who puts their card idea in a comment to this post will be eligible. At the end of some undetermined period, the best ideas (judged by the other commenters and myself) will be placed into the Drinkards Kards Poll, and the top few will be added to the next Drinkards update.
Get the creative juices flowing (by creative juices, I mean beer) and make sure to post your best ideas!
Welcome!
This is the Drinkards blog. Drinkards is a drinking game soon-to-be released on Xbox LIVE Indie Games (XBLIG) this October.
The goal of Drinkards is to drink! Each player draws a card on their turn. The cards will give short instructions for which player has to drink. Some are based on properties like clothing, while others pit player against player in fun real-world challenges.
Score is tracked by taking a "Sobriety Test" after your turn, where you simply must guide two fingers into the target in the middle of the screen. The faster you do this the less your BAC rises, and at the end of the game low score wins!
There are over 100 cards in Drinkards, and game length can be adjusted to suit your drinking needs. Again, this game is coming soon, so start getting the beer frosty!
